Fees and payment options

If eligible for a Medicare rebate, the full session fee is payable at the time of the appointment, and clients can then claim $98.95 back from Medicare, reducing the out-of-pocket cost to $102 per session.

Important information
Please review the details below before getting in touch about appointments and fees.
How do Medicare rebates work?
To be eligible to receive psychological services under Medicare, a person must be referred by his or her GP and in some instances by another medical specialist. Speak to your GP about your eligibility to claim these Medicare benefits and the best person to make your referral.
How many Medicare sessions are available?
Eligible clients may claim a Medicare rebate of $98.95 per session for up to 10 sessions per calendar year, with an initial allocation of 6 sessions.
What do I need before my appointment?
A copy of the Mental Health Treatment Plan referral should be emailed before the appointment to support@naspsychology.com.au. For help making a Medicare claim, please visit Services Australia.
Can private health insurance help?
Depending on the level of cover, private health insurance may help reduce the cost of individual sessions. Policies vary, so clients should confirm eligibility and rebate amount directly with their provider.
What is the cancellation policy?
Appointment times are reserved specifically for each client. While 48 hoursโ notice is preferred where possible, cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment, or missed appointments, incur the full session fee. If something unexpected arises, clients should let the practice know as soon as possible. Medicare rebates do not apply to missed or cancelled sessions.
